Photographer and filmmaker Andrew McConell started documenting conflict in his home country of Northern Ireland – now he captures the lives of ordinary people living in conflict zones, rather than the people holding a gun. Recently, he’s shown the mounting humanitarian crisis in post-withdrawal Afghanistan while working on a long-term project on cosmonauts returning to Earth.
