An international team of researchers has made a spectacular discovery – and tracked down Quipu, one of the largest known structures in the entire universe! In detail, the colossal structure weighs 200 quadrillion solar masses and extends over an incredible length of more than 1.3 billion light-years – but unfortunately the superstructure also throws our previous models out the window! Because actually, and this is the crucial point, the theoretical size limit of the “cosmic giants” is only 1.2 billion light-years! And to make matters even more complicated, astronomers have discovered two more giants in the form of the “Giant Arc” and the “Big Ring”, which shouldn’t actually exist in this form!
